Tolarno Restaurant was opened in 1964 by George and Mirka Mora and is perhaps best known for the colourful murals painted throughout the interior.
Leeda was engaged to fast track the project in two stages, demolition, structure and services followed by the interior fitout, giving the Architects time to develop the designs.
The existing restaurant had not changed much since the mid 60’s and after our initial site audit we were confronted with lack of services and power, rotting floor structure and asbestos contamination.
Mirka @ Tolarno is a great example of what can be achieved in a run down building through clever planning, effective and cost reducing building methods.
An extremely motivated team of designers, planners, builders and manufacturers have created a client specific, practical and appealing building make over whilst not attracting the outrageous unappealing building costs that can usually be associated.
Mirka @ Tolarno is a fantastic addition to Leeda Developments achievements.
